T&I Advanced Studies

The one thing all of you need to understand is that you own this class.  Each of us brings strengths and baggage to the table.  Success is going to be dependent upon everyone putting forth their best efforts.

T&I is a PBL course.  PBL = Project Based Learning.

In addition to the real-world projects, each student must complete a project portfolio, a paper, and final presentation.

Teams:

Broadcast, podcast, graphics, web design, animation

Leadership:

Morning Growl should include:

News and sports that are relevant to Millbrook students.  This should include upcoming events as well as reporting on recent events.

The scaffold for MG is as follows:

-Intro (graphic or animation)

-“good morning”

-news graphic

-news

-sports graphic

-sports

-student highlight (non academy student).

-“thank you for watching”

-credits (rolling)

-news and sports need to be millbrook, local/state, national/international.

Given the above, and that this is a PBL...

What rules will you establish for yourselves, and how will you hold yourselves accountable?

Paper: 800 words  (Final Draft Due 24 January 2020)

Paragraph 1 - what did you hope to accomplish?  What were your goals for this project/year?

Paragraph 2 - what did you expect the challenges to be?  Or how did you challenge yourself?

Paragraphs 3-4-5- what did you actually accomplish?  Each paragraph should site a specific accomplishment aspect.  Refer to your Project Portfolio.

Paragraph 6 - what were the actual challenges?  Or - how did your expectations evolve?

Paragraph 7 - how did your accomplishments stack-up against your expectations?
